The Story

Delta Self Storage is a single-facility operation in Mobile, AL. For years it ran on outdated software: clunky, confusing, and barely used. The manager worked around it more than with it. Tenants had no way to pay online. Reminders were manual. Move-ins were a back-and-forth of calls and texts.

It started with one ask: can tenants pay online? I built that. Then I kept going. Every feature came from watching how the facility actually operates, not from assuming. The result covers the entire tenant lifecycle, from the first website visit to monthly rent collection, without adding complexity for the people using it.

Before This Existed

Outdated Software

The existing system was old, unintuitive, and barely used. The manager worked around it more than with it.

No Online Payments

Tenants had no way to pay online. Rent collection meant phone calls, cash, checks, and manual logging every month.

Everything Was Manual

Reminders, move-in instructions, gate codes, payment confirmations, sent by hand, one by one, when someone remembered.

A clean public website with facility information, photos with an expandable lightbox gallery, unit sizes and pricing with real-time availability counts and urgency indicators, a Request a Unit form, and a Get in Touch contact form. Both forms feed directly into the admin portal. Fully mobile optimized.

Where It Stands

Built from scratch. Currently in implementation.

Delta Self Storage is currently being migrated onto the new system. The software replaced a tool that had been in place for years but rarely used correctly. Every feature was designed around a real workflow observed in a real facility, not assumed from the outside. Performance data will be updated as the system goes fully live.
